California is home to an abundance of artists, craftspeople, inventors and spirited creators. At Sloan Miyasato, we celebrate the art of the craft by representing a stellar roster of fine California Makers.

Our showroom embraces the time-honored craftsmanship and brilliant designs with the largest to-the-trade list of California based manufacturers. From lighting, furniture and textiles, each of our represented manufacturers exhibits a true passion for their art and produce the finest luxury home furnishings. We are honored to represent such fine talent and offer products that adhere to an environmentally conscious attitude.

ARCHIE HELD STUDIO

Bay area artist, Archie Held is an internationally awarded sculptor, creating art for almost 45-years. His sculptures portray rhythmic movements, common gestures and dance influences. The process starts in his Richmond studio, where sculptures first take shape using cardboard models and tweaked until the design is then fabricated using bronze and stainless steel. Every piece is hand-finished and polished.

AXIS

Hand-made by experienced craftsmen in Los Angeles, Axis Furniture integrates strong elemental forms, sensual curves and textured surfaces into every piece. Their inspiration is derived from a diverse range of sources such as architecture, jewelry and nature. Each is reinterpreted into a classic and timeless design.


GUILD by LMI

Bay Area Interior Designer, Lane McNab brings sustainability to the masses with her own furniture collection. Located in Berkeley, Lane’s focus is on the ever increasing awareness of eco-friendly products and sustainable practices. Every piece from her collection follows a strict sustainability protocols. She believes the best way to care for our planet is to say goodby to disposable culture.

MICHAEL BERMAN

Interior Designer, Michael Berman’s furniture collection reflects organic warmth and approachability. His furniture designs speak of american modernism with a simplicity of form. Within the collection, his signature for tailored spaces is portrayed through his pieces that appeal to both traditional and eclectic interiors.

Los Angeles based furniture maker, Mimi London, is synonymous with sustainability. Known for their organic approach to luxury, their mission is to create unique and beautiful furnishings by sourcing natural materials and using eco-friendly production methods.

MJ ATELIER

MJ Atelier is an art studio, located in Los Angeles, specializing in custom wallcoverings, reverse painted glass and custom furniture. Traditional art methods are used to create unique, museum quality pieces. lighting works in any interior.

PHOENIX DAY

Phoenix Day has a rich history in San Francisco. Not only were they among the first manufacturers we represented in our showroom, they have been lighting the way in San Francisco since 1850. Originally, Phoenix Day produced gas fittings for coal and oil lanterns and created the city’s first fueled street lanterns. Thanks to Phoenix Day, San Francisco became the first city to have a central electricity generating station and modified the city’s lanterns for the new power source. Phoenix Day is still family owned and operated and is a “go-to” for local designers. Embellishing numerous notable commercial and residential projects, their high-quality for hand-crafted lighting works in any interior.

RANDOLPH & HEIN

Approaching 50-years in business, Randolph & Hein is dedicated to creating the finest quality hand-crafted furniture, utilizing old world craftsmanship. In the early years, they excelled in antique reproductions and have since morphed into producing contemporary and sophisticated designs. Using fine hardwoods and exotic veneers, Randolph & Hein’s artisans offer numerous finishes, using European techniques. Expanding their reach in the late 1970’s, they launched their textile collection of silks and wovens. Bench-made, hand-sewn all in Los Angeles.

SATORI is a Los Angeles based design studio creating original works in the form of light sculptures and accessories. Our philosophy of blurring the line between art and design, gallery and showroom, strongly influences our original award winning designs and has distinguished SATORI LIGHT SCULPTURES as one of the most innovative and premier lines in luxury home furnishings. All Satori pieces are made-to-order and artisan crafted in Los Angeles with unparalleled detail and precision of workmanship, utilizing the most exceptional and luxurious materials, and unique proprietary processes.

STUDIO BEL VETRO

Nestled in the heart of wine country, Studio Bel Vetro creates beautiful works of art out of their Healdsburg glass blowing studio. There is an art to the craft, and every part of the process passes through the hands of the artist. From minerals to chandeliers, Studio Bel Vetro exemplifies art and functionality. Pure passion for hand-blown glass, owners Lisa Spinella and Paulo DeLima create heirloom quality light fixtures.

STUDIO JOSEPH WATTS

This unique lighting and furniture line is crafted from rare, exotic woods, hand-rubbed bronzes, stainless steel, and kiln-formed glass, with each element fabricated in-house. Every piece is a work of art: there is no mass production. Founded by Joseph Watts Barker and his brother James Barak Barker, from the start there has been a relentless focus on quality and uniqueness of the highest standard—including one-of-a-kind commission pieces.


THOMAS COOPER STUDIO

Creative partners Sally Thomas Cooper and Jason Kai Cooper, renowned for their innovative modern lighting designs with Luxe and Lusive, founded Thomas Cooper Studio to delve deeper into the material and sculptural essence of lighting. Their collection embodies a rich collaboration between the duo, exploring a variety of materials and techniques such as heat-formed glass, carved marble, and hand-patinaed bronze. Each piece is a poetic expression, balancing shine and shade, density and delicacy, form and function.


ZELE

Early beginnings as an abstract painter, Zele Mane understands the importance of immersing yourself in the materials and the process. The segue from art to furniture was inevitable, however on that journey Zele designed and built homes along the California coast. Twenty years later, and still family owned and operated in Santa Monica, their furniture is coined as handmade modernism.
